Paradise in the Hawkes Bay
Mary Doyle is located on the site which was originally the DB Te Mata Hotel. In 1996 the land and buildings were transformed into the Mary Doyle Retirement Village.
As the village grew, neighbouring land previously used for horticulture was acquired. Each of our care areas is named after a local identity to celebrate our connections to the Bay.
The village has been designed to include extensive lawn and garden areas. It is important to us that the environment has tranquil surroundings for residents to enjoy. As well as independent retirement or serviced living options within our range of Villas and Apartments, Mary Doyle provides quality care in our Hospital, Dementia and Rest Home care units. We aim to help our residents get the most out of every day.
Mary Doyle offers a retirement lifestyle which is hard to beat. If you want independent living, 24-hour care options, an active caring community and excellent facilities on your doorstep, then you’ve come to the right place.
Life at Mary Doyle
As an Arvida Village, we take care and time to listen, and we’ll help you continue to enjoy the things that you love to do. We’ll encourage participation and engagement in our community, and we’ll help you to remain active and happy.
Our residents really are a friendly and social group. We all respect each other’s privacy, and we enjoy our neighbours’ company at the many village events.
We take pride in Rivertones Social Centre, which is the hub of village life and features a restaurant and café, ideal for coffee, lunch and the occasional evening meal.
Our recreation centre is set amongst beautiful gardens complete with a heated swimming pool and spa and a gym. Other outdoor facilities include vegetable garden allotments and garden hobby sheds.
