Independent living or rest home level care
We pride ourselves on providing a caring, friendly, professional and qualified team who are focused on the security and well-being of our residents.
Our mission is to provide quality care within a positive, safe and homely environment, and to treat residents with respect and dignity while encouraging and supporting them in maintaining their independence.
Regular ongoing contact with family and friends is encouraged to ensure our residents’ changing needs are recognised both within and outside the home.
As an Arvida village, we take care to listen and help residents to continue to enjoy the things they love to do. We also offer a one-on-one personal coaching programme that actively empowers residents to take charge of their own health and wellbeing.
Life at Wendover
Our Diversional Therapist and care staff run a varied activities programme designed to suit the capabilities and interests of our residents. Participation is always voluntary, though we do promote socialising, mental and physical stimulation and we nurture and encourage a general sense of vitality. Communication is encouraged and stimulated through outside activities, and helps to build confidence and independence.
Our regular activities include crafts (painting, flower arranging, card making), musical entertainment, housie, large screen ‘old time’ movies, exercises, games & quizzes, newspaper readings, theme days, happy hour, trips (twice weekly), sightseeing and shopping.
