Become a founding resident of an innovative Kerikeri community that reflects your interests. At Te Puna Waiora | The Source of Wellbeing, your ideas are listened to and welcomed.
Arvida’s Te Puna Waiora community for over-65s will be one-of-a-kind, because residents are arriving with their skills and passions. Already there’s discussion about concepts like a mini-farm with animals and a share boat that lets residents get out on the water. Another idea is a sculpture and art trail that tells the story of Kerikeri. By joining our community right at the start, you can help to decide the features and facilities that will make Te Puna Waiora unique.
Te Puna Waiora is destined to be the best
As representatives of mana whenua, Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rēhia gifted Arvida Group the name for this community. Te Puna Waiora | The Source of Wellbeing reflects our focus on Living Well. Puna means a fountain or a spring, signifying regeneration and Waiora means health and wellness. Before construction started, the site was blessed in a ceremony on 14 February 2020.
Te Puna Waiora is being developed in stages over several years and stage one independent villas are selling now. These contemporary, north-facing homes are based on an ‘L’ shaped form around a landscaped courtyard. A showhome is already open, if you’d like to take a look.
When complete, Te Puna Waiora will have a clubhouse that will include a kitchen, bar, TV lounge, library, craft room and social spaces. Outside, the clubhouse will have a large deck for barbecues, and a green space for outdoor sports and activities. Walkways and paths will provide easy connections between housing areas and the clubhouse. Future plans for Te Puna Waiora include a care centre for residents who need rest home care, hospital-level or dementia care.
There are plans for a Living Well Centre with café, swimming pool, gym, fitness classes, health services and much more. All Te Puna Waiora residents will enjoy membership to this centre.
We call our locations 'living well communities', rather than retirement villages because they are designed to encourage and support interaction with the neighbourhoods and people around them as well as supporting residents to keep doing what they love for longer.
Arvida. Living a life with soul.
