A new villa with surprises for Pam
Since moving into the new Te Awamutu community, Arvida Whai Mauri Ora last year, Pam McCollum found a few nice surprises.
“I can’t get over how peaceful it is out here. I like getting up early in the morning and there’s silence with no sirens or car noise - it’s great.”
Another surprise has been the internal garage, something Pam hasn’t had before.
“When you come home when it’s hot or wet outside you can just go into the garage and unload the car boot easily,“ added Pam.
She’s also a fan of her spacious kitchen and even her grandson mentioned she can ‘watch television while also making dinner at the same time’. Pam moved from an established 100-year-old house in Te Awamutu and after a quick sale she was ready to move on.
“I knew the stairs and maintenance would be an issue the older I got. The few things that I looked at I didn’t like at all and they needed lots done to them.”
After driving down Frontier Road a few times and seeing building happening Pam approached the team at the sales office to find out more. Not only did Pam know what she wanted like side windows and a view, she also knew exactly what she didn’t want.
“I said to myself if it’s got a low ceiling and a skinny hallway I won’t be buying. But when I walked into my one-bedroom villa I saw the width of the hall and the ceiling was a good height. Then I went into the dining area and thought yeah I could live here.”
You can find Arvida Whai Mauri Ora community at 319 Manaia Road, Te Awamutu.
