Welcoming the first Care Suite resident at Bethlehem Shores
It was a special day at Arvida Bethlehem Shores, the village team warmly welcomed Gillian Brandon, presenting her with a gift to recognise her as the first resident to move into a brand-new Care Suite.
Village Manager Brian Bark shared his hopes that Gillian would find happiness and comfort in her new surroundings. Gillian’s journey at Arvida Bethlehem Shores in Tauranga began a decade ago when she moved into one of the villas. After ten years, she transitioned into the newly opened Care Centre.
“I knew my health was going to deteriorate because that’s what happens and so I’m now where I intended to be because I needed to have a place where I could go into care.” The move was smooth, and she is now settling in, rearranging her belongings to make the space her own.
“The nice surprise was the heated floor in the bathroom so there’s no cold toes in the morning,” she explains. Gillian also appreciates the view and the sun that she gets from her Care Suite. Gillian’s beloved cat Lily has also made the move with her, offering companionship and comfort in her new environment.
Gillian describes her Care Suite as the perfect size and says her family are also pleased with her new home. “My son came to see me and he looked happy to think that I was happy,” she says. As Gillian settles in, she looks forward to making the most of her new home and the café in the Care Centre at Arvida Bethlehem Shores, confident that she’s exactly where she needs to be.
The brand-new Care Centre also features stunning and spcaious Apartments for independent living, as well as a new café, hair salon, craft room, kitchen and dining areas, a wine room and landscaped courtyards.
